Indoor Activities to Enjoy

It’s almost Spring. If you’re ready to get out of your apartment to do something fun, but want to remain indoors to stay warm, here are a few places around Laramie you should visit.
Swimming is a great exercise and a great way to chase away the winter blues. The university’s Corbett Pool is open Spring Semester Mondays – Thursdays: 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. and 7 – 9 p.m.; Fridays: 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m.; Saturdays and Sundays: 1 – 4 p.m.
Family Swim Hours are Mondays – Thursdays: 7 – 9 p.m.; Fridays: 6 – 8 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays: 1 – 4 p.m. Please note that Corbett Pool will be closed during Spring Break on the following days: March 15 and 16 and March 22.
Corbett is closed during most UW Athletic events. For a complete schedule go to: http://www.uwyo.edu/rec/facility-hours-and-information.
The Laramie Recreation Center is another great place to swim. The Rec Center offers an indoor leisure pool and an eight-lane lap pool. The center also provides cardio equipment and circuit weights. For information on pricing and schedules go to: http://cityoflaramie.org/index.aspx?NID=163
The Ice and Event Center is a great place to try out your ice skating skills. To check out when the Ice and Event Center is open for public skate times go to http://cityoflaramie.org/index.aspx?NID=426.
