UW Basketball Season Ends

Both the Wyoming Cowboys and Cowgirls played in the Mountain West Tournament (MWT) in Las Vegas the week before Spring Break. The Cowboys lost their first round game to UNLV but earned a bid to the College Basketball Invitational (CBI). The Cowboys lost in the first round to Texas A&M with a score of 59-43, which ended the season for the Cowboys. Their record was 18-15 for the season. The Cowgirls on the other hand won their first game of the MWT against Boise State 61-56. They then lost their second round game to Colorado State in triple overtime by a score of 95-92. The cowgirls ended their season with a record of 20-11.

UW Wrestling Wraps Up Season

The UW wrestling team wrapped up their season on Friday, March 21. The team was at the NCAA Championships in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma where 4 UW wrestlers would be competing. The Cowboys were eliminated in day two of the competition.

Outdoor Track and Field Begins

The indoor track season wrapped up for the Cowboys and Cowgirls on March 15 at the NCAA Championships. The outdoor season however kicked off on March 22 at the Jerry Quiller Classic. The Cowboys and Cowgirls do not have a home track meet until May but their complete schedule is on the UW Athletics Page.
