What’s going on in September at the UW Apartments?
Hello! During the month of September there are a few things going on at the UW apartments. First off, we have four reoccurring monthly programs starting!
• Community Pot luck.
o This happens every second and fourth Tuesday of the month. Please feel free to bring your favorite dish starting at 6:00 PM in the Community Center. Also, don’t forget to bring an ingredient list of what you make and please do not use any peanuts. Drinks will be provided. This event was created by Tyler, Pat and Channing.
• Game Night
o Every first and third Friday of each month from 7-8 PM Jordan and Mary will be putting on a game night in the community center. This is a great way to wind your weak down and relax before the weekend begins. Snacks and soft drinks will be provided!
• Study Night
o Study night happens every Monday night from 7- 10 PM. During these hours in the community center please feel free to come and study with your fellow students. One raffle ticket will be given out for each hour you study and the tickets will be entered to win a tablet at the end of the semester. If you have any questions, ask either Jessi or Nicki!
• Kids Craft Days
o Although this program has already started, please feel free to join every second and fourth Saturday of each month from 2-4 PM. This is a great way to bring all of the neighborhood children together to make something creative. Supplies for crafts and activities will be provided. Emily and Courtney will be attending this program each week to help out all the kids!
Next, we will have another monthly program. This month’s program will be put together by Emily and Patrick. Emily and Patrick are putting on a program for all those of us who are over 21! partnering with the Gardens in the Union, they are going to put on a night where you can go and relax while also learning about safe drinking. This is pending approval!
Each month I will continue to write about what is going on in and around the UW apartments and also about living in the UW apartments area so check back here if you are looking for something to do for the month. Good luck with the upcoming semester!
