Apartments’ Programs in April and May

There have been a plethora of exciting programs hitting the UW Apartments. Although you may have lived in the UW apartments for a number of months, you may still ask yourself, “What is a program?” A program is an event that the UW Apartments puts on to provide our residents with a sense of community. Our programs come in two forms. These are reoccurring programs and larger scale monthly programs.

Reoccurring programs have been a hit at the apartments. We currently put on four reoccurring programs: Study Night, Kids’ Day, Pinterest Party, and Movie Night. Study night occurs every Tuesday night from 6-9 pm. Study Night provides a nice quite place to study, enjoy hot beverages, and have some snacks. For every hour you attend study night, you will receive one ticket to be put in for a drawing for an iPad mini! Kids’ Day provides an exciting atmosphere allowing children to create various crafts, play games, or watch a movie. Kids’ Day occurs every second and fourth Saturday of the month. The next Pinterest Party will be this Sunday, March 29th. Attendees will learn to knit arm scarfs. The Pinterest Party allows for residents to connect and complete crafts commonly found on Pinterest. Movie night occurs once a month on Thursday nights. Look out for advertisements and come enjoy soda and snacks!

The UW Apartments will be hosting two more monthly programs before the end of semester. First will be open mic night. The open mic night will be Friday, March 27th. The event will be hosted at the Community Center and will feature live performances by singing groups

The Betty’s and The Black Tie Affair. We will also have a coffee bar with various flavors of coffee and snacks. After the groups perform, we will invite residents to share their talent, but please only acoustic instruments and no drum sets. The second program will occur in May. The program is still being planned, so just remember to look out for advertisements. The program will be a great way to relax before or after finals!

As you can see, the UW Apartments has a lot of fun to offer. Programs lead to an interconnected community, and we invite you to attend all of them! Look out for advertisements and come visit with us!
